Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first therapy session?

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. You’ll have space to share your goals, ask questions, and get a feel for how we can work together. It’s a time to explore what you need and begin creating a plan that feels supportive and manageable.

How long are sessions and how often do we meet?

Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place at a cadence that best fits your goals. We might meet more frequently at the start of therapy. As you begin to feel more confident in the progress you’re making, we may decide together to meet less frequently. Your therapy schedule is always tailored to your needs and goals.

What do you specialize in?

I specialize in supporting clients through anxiety, stress, major life transitions, perinatal and postpartum challenges, and infertility. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that helps you feel understood and empowered.

Do you take insurance or offer discounted rates?

I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not take any major insurances. I am paneled with KS Medicaid which includes Healthy Blue of Kansas, UHC Medicaid, and Sunflower. I’m happy to provide receipts for reimbursement if needed. I also offer a limited number of discounted counseling slots to help make therapy more accessible. Please reach out to discuss your options.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

I offer mainly in person therapy at my office conveniently located in Westwood, KS and prefer meeting clients face-to-face as opposed to virtually. We can schedule virtual sessions on an as-needed basis due to inclement weather, illness, etc. I offer a secure online portal.

How do I get started?

You can get started by reaching out via email, phone, or my scheduling link to  schedule a free consultation. During this time, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for in therapy and how I can best support you.
